The murder of a young man in Madhapur village of Kutch district became the reason for the tension.

An incident of communal tension has come to the fore in Bhuj of Kutch district ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat. On Friday evening, there was a dispute between people of two communities in Madhapur village of Bhuj. During this a youth of a community was murdered. This morning, a crowd of people returning to the funeral of the youth targeted a shrine and shops of another community. However, heavy police force has brought the situation under control.

In view of the tension, police force has been deployed in the entire village. Let me tell you, Madhopur village is just four kilometers away from ‘Smriti Van’. Smriti Van is a museum built in the memory of those killed in the Bhuj and Gujarat earthquakes. PM Narendra Modi is coming to inaugurate it on Sunday.

In Madhapur village, Paresh Raibari of the Raibari community had a dispute with the accused Suleman Sana, who lived in the village. During this, Suleman killed Paresh by stabbing him with a knife. People returning after Paresh’s funeral this morning suddenly started rioting. During this, religious places and shops of other communities were vandalized fiercely. As soon as the information was received, heavy police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. According to Kutch West SP Saurabh Singh, the situation is under control.

The people of the Raibari community had refused to take the body of the deceased Paresh Raibari from the hospital. They demanded that they would not perform the last rites until the accused were arrested. However, the accused was arrested in the night itself. Police Inspector Karan Singh Vihol claimed that the tension eased after the arrest. He said that teams of State Reserve Police and Rapid Action Force have been deployed in the village.

PM Modi is on a two-day visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Gujarat on a two-day visit today. He will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several schemes in the state. He is going to inaugurate the Atal bridge on the Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad today. This bridge is for pedestrians. On Sunday, PM Modi will also unveil the Veer Balak Memorial in Anjar town of Kutch. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the Khadi festival on the first day of his Gujarat tour. The festival is being organized at the Sabarmati Riverfront. The design of this riverfront decorated with LED lights is quite attractive.
