On Sunday, violent communal violence disrupted Ram Navami celebrations in four states: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. While the exact number of injured has yet to be determined, all localities in the aforementioned states have been placed under surveillance. At least ten houses were set on fire in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, and more than two dozen people were injured, including Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Choudhary, during clashes that erupted during the Ram Navami procession in various areas of Khargone, forcing the administration to impose a curfew in some areas of the city.
