Class 11 student commits suicide in Tamil Nadu: Found hanging in her house, fourth case in 15 days in the state

A Class 11 student committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Tamil Nadu’s Sivakasi district on Tuesday. According to the police, nothing can be said yet as no suicide note has been found. The information will come out only after the investigation of the matter.

At the same time, this is the fourth case of death of schoolgirls in the state in the last 15 days. Earlier, three 12th class girl students living in different places had committed suicide.

First suicide case on 12th July
Srimati, a Class 12 student of a private school at Chinna Salem in Kallakurichi, committed suicide by jumping off the top floor of the hostel on the night of July 12. On the morning of July 13, when the watchman saw the girl’s body, he informed the school management and the police. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

The people protesting had set the buses on fire.

In the suicide note found by the police, the girl has accused two teachers of the school of harassing her and some students by forcing her to study all the time. This was followed by violent protests, in which several people, including senior police officers, were injured.

Second suicide case on July 25
The body of a class 12 student was found on Tuesday in the hostel of a private school in Killachery, Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. As soon as this news came to the fore, police force was deployed in the school campus. The name of the girl who died is P Sarla. 17-year-old Sarla’s family members demonstrated after reaching the school, alleging that the school did not inform about it on time. The victim’s parents and relatives had also raided in Thakkalur.

P Sarla’s family members say that the school people told them that Sarla had consumed poison.

25 July third suicide case
A Class 12 student committed suicide in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. This was the second case of suicide in 24 hours and third in 15 days in Tamil Nadu. Police have started investigation by registering a case of suspicious death. Cuddalore SP S Shakti Ganesan said that the student committed suicide at her home due to domestic issues. After this incident on Monday night, the family took him to Virudhachalam Common Hospital, but he had died.

The girl’s mother Ilavarasi had told that she studied at Shakti Matriculation Private School in North Periyar Nagar, Virudhachalam. She was very talented but was under a lot of stress from last few days as she was not able to study properly.
