Chinese-origin woman arrested from Chongsar Monastery: Suspicious documents and Indo-Nepalese currency recovered, had come to study Buddhism

The police in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh has arrested a woman of Chinese origin from Chongsar Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. This action was taken in Kasba Chauntara under Jogindernagar sub-division, although this arrest took place on the night of October 22, but the police kept the matter completely confidential.

According to police sources, a woman has been living in the Chongsar Tibetan Buddhist Monastery for 15 days, who is claiming herself to be of Nepalese origin. Her name is Bhanji Lama, but the woman doesn’t seem to be Nepali. She is staying in a home stay in Tibetan Colony. This woman has come here to receive the education of Buddhism. On this basis, the police team reached the spot and started investigation.

2 types of documents found in the search
The woman was interrogated and her room was also searched and some suspicious documents were found from the room. Some of these documents were from China and some are from Nepal. The age of the woman is mentioned separately in both the documents. The woman showed the police a document issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, in which her name was found written in Nepali language as Yadji Lama Ling.

On suspicion, the woman’s mobile phone was checked and her name was shown as Guan Ruili in the passport number E-920693212 of the People’s Republic of China. The date of birth is 10 May 1982. In strict interrogation, the woman told herself to be a Chinese citizen, while Rs 6 lakh 40 thousand Indian and Nepalese currency of 1 lakh 10 thousand have also been recovered from the woman.

A case was registered against this woman under sections 120B, 419, 420, 467, 474 and 14 Foreigners Act of IPC and she was arrested. The woman had two mobile phones, the investigation of which is on. At the same time, ASP Mandi Sagar Chandra told that for what purpose the woman was living here, its investigation has been started. All this information has also been given to the central government.

Delhi Police also caught Chinese woman

Let us inform that earlier, Kai Ruo, a Chinese woman living as a Nepali in Dharamsala and McLeodganj, was caught by the Delhi Police Cell on charges of espionage.
