Tension continues between India and China in Ladakh. Here, China is not deterring its antics. Chinese soldiers stopped some Indian shepherds at Demchok near LAC. The soldiers objected saying that this is their territory. This matter is being told of August 21. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) objected to the presence of Indian shepherds near the saddle at CNN Junction in Demchok, an official said. A meeting was also held on 26 August between the commanders of the Indian Army and the Chinese soldiers to resolve the issue.

Mayhem took place in 2019
According to a report in the Indian Express, the official said that the shepherds have been frequenting the area. In 2019 too, there was a minor scuffle between the two sides regarding this issue. Sources say that there was no discussion on this issue between the two armies. It was a regular meeting between the commanders at the local level to resolve the issue and maintain peace along the LAC. Such meetings on the LAC keep happening as per protocol.

Clashes took place in Galwan in June 2020
India and China have been standing in this area since April 2020. At the same time, after the clash between the two sides in Galwan on 15 June 2020, many areas of the sector have become ‘No Patrol Zone’. In this clash, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, while India also claimed to have caused a lot of damage to China.

China trying to provoke India
After this clash, both the countries increased the deployment of soldiers on the border in eastern Ladakh. Both countries have deployed about 50-50 thousand soldiers. However, after several rounds of talks, both the countries withdrew their forces from Pangong and Gogra last year. There have been many meetings to establish peace between the two countries, but China is trying to provoke India on the LAC.
