A 5-year-old boy died of rabies after being bitten by stray dogs in Telangana. The case pertains to Khammam district, where Banoth Bharat was attacked by stray dogs a few days back. His health deteriorated on Sunday. When the family took him to the doctor, it was found that the child had symptoms of rabies. After this, Bharat died on Monday while being taken to the hospital. Earlier on February 19, a four-year-old child had died in an attack by stray dogs in Hyderabad.
Bharat had symptoms of rabies
According to media reports, Bharat’s mother Sandhya told that my son was playing near the house. Here stray dogs attacked him, due to which he was injured. Bharat’s health deteriorated on Sunday. We took him to a private hospital in Khammam. After checkup here, doctors told that the child has symptoms of rabies, they advised to take Bharat to Hyderabad for better treatment.
On Monday, I along with my husband Ravinder were taking Bharat to Hyderabad in a government bus, but he died on the way. In this regard, the health department officials say that they are examining Bharat’s medical report.
Earlier on February 19, a 4-year-old child in Hyderabad was attacked by stray dogs, due to which he died. The incident took place at a car servicing centre, where the boy’s father was working as a watchman.
On the other hand, on March 10 and 12, two real brothers were killed in dog attacks in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. The names of the real brothers killed in stray dog attacks are Anand (7) and Aditya (5). The doctors who did the postmortem of the bodies of the children told that many parts of their bodies were almost severed.
