With the UP elections approaching, the political mercury in the state has risen owing to the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. In the midst of this political stirring, on Monday, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath participated in the special program “Panchayat Aaj Tak 2022”, conducted by TV channel Aaj Tak. The session was filled with several questions and answers talking about the upcoming state elections and different party manifestos.

Speaking at the Panchayat Aaj Tak in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said, “There is no ambiguity on the CM face. People know who the CM face is. The preparations for the elections are going on right now. We are continuously increasing the work done by our government. The important thing is that the Bharatiya Janata Party should win. BJP fights elections on its own issues. We will continue to work for the interest of the larger masses, we do not care about the chair”.

He reiterated that he would contest the Assembly polls but it is up to the BJP to decide where he would contest from.

On being asked about who will win the upcoming UP elections, CM Yogi said that BJP will form the government with a thumping three-fourth majority. CM Yogi Adityanath also countered allegations of polarisation and said the farming community and Brahmins weren’t angry with the party.

CM Yogi also shared his views on the increased crime rates across the states and said that the biggest achievement of his government in the state has been the restoration of law and order.  “We have changed the law-and-order situation in the state. Earlier, big reports of crime used to come out and people used to migrate to Kairana, now people are coming back there. We have created an environment to ensure security in the state. Security has been given to every citizen, daughter and poors. Bulldozers have run against the mafia who were involved in some crime earlier or if continues to do so.

“Uttar Pradesh is brimming with potential and aspirations. It should become the country’s number-one state,” he said at Panchayat Aaj Tak.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav also participated in the event conducted by Aaj Tak. Speaking at the session he said “Janata will do Radhe Radhe to BJP and that the party is on the way out of power in Uttar Pradesh.”

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav claimed that his party would form the next government in Uttar Pradesh with an overwhelming majority in the assembly election. Speaking at Panchayat Aaj Tak, Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the Samajwadi Party would win 400 seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.
