Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has started in Madhya Pradesh from today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the scheme through remote at Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal. The theme song of the scheme was also launched remotely. Under this scheme, women will be given 1000 rupees every month. Forms will be filled from 25 March to 20 April.
During the speech, the Chief Minister sat down on his knees. Saluting the women, he said – Till now I used to worship daughters. But, even in sisters I see Maa Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. By serving the sisters, my becoming Chief Minister and human life became successful and meaningful. Announcing this, the CM said – Ek Ladli Behna Sena will also be formed. The scheme will not cost a single penny. Neither the original residence nor the income certificate will be required. If someone does brokerage, call 181. I will get you handcuffed and sent to jail. Camps will be organized in villages and wards to fill the forms. It will be informed. 30 applications will be filled in a day. The camp will continue till all the forms are filled. Don’t rush Filling of applications will start from 25th March. Applications will be filled by April 20. If needed, the date will be extended further. Will scrutinize applications in May. The first installment will come in the accounts in June.
CM Shivraj welcomed the women who came in the program by showering flowers. CM said that forms of Ladli Bahna Yojana will be filled from March 25 to April 20. Money will start coming into the accounts from June 10.

2.60 crore women voters in MP
There are 5 crore 39 lakh 87 thousand 876 voters in the state. Of these, there are 2 crore 60 lakh 23 thousand 733 women voters. Among these women voters, only those women will get the benefit of this scheme, whose family’s annual income is Rs.2.5 lakh. or having less than five acres of land. Married, divorced, widowed, abandoned women between the age of 23 to 60 years will be eligible in this scheme.

Why the need for planning?
According to NFHS (National Family Health Survey), 23% women of Madhya Pradesh are behind in body mass index. In the survey, 54.7% of women aged 15 to 49 years were found to have complaints of anemia. According to the report released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation in the year 2020-21, the labor force participation rate in the state is 57.7% for men in rural areas, while the participation of women is just 23.3%. In cities, the female labor force participation rate is only 13.6% as against 55.9% of the male labor force. The survey shows that from the perspective of work, the participation of women is less than that of men. For this reason, instead of being financially independent, women are dependent on men.
In the state, women who are below 60 years of age are getting less than one thousand rupees every month under the Social Security Pension Scheme. Apart from this, the amount will be paid from Ladli Bahna Yojana.
This is how the list of beneficiaries will be prepared
To fill the forms of Ladli Bahna Yojana, camps will be organized at more than one place in all villages in rural areas and micro plans in all wards in urban areas. Gram Panchayat secretary and ward in-charge will get the applications of the beneficiary women filled online. Before this, women will have to fill the information in the form in advance. These forms will be available in Gram Panchayats, ward offices and Anganwadi centers. The application process will be free.
Estimated expenditure of 61 thousand crores in 5 years
The Women and Child Development Department has made a provision of Rs 1000 crore for the Ladli Bahna Yojana in the budget of 2023-24. An expenditure of Rs 61,890.84 crore has been estimated in the plan in the next five years. A separate account will be opened for the implementation of the scheme at the state level.
Which documents are necessary?
- To fill the application, women will have to bring their family’s Samagra ID, their Samagra ID, Aadhaar card to the camp.
- Complete information will be entered online as per the application form filled by the woman in-charge of the camp in the village/ward.
- After this, the on spot photo of the woman will be taken out and uploaded on the portal.
- After the online application is submitted, the printout of the acknowledgment will also be given to the woman.
- The list of applicants will be pasted in the Gram Panchayat, Ward.
Objections will be resolved like this
- If any name is left out or name is added by giving wrong information, then correction can be done after objections.
- For objections, objections can also be lodged online on 181 in writing to the in-charge of the village/ward.
- A committee will be formed of CEO of Janpad Panchayat, Naib Tehsildar of that area, Project Officer of Women and Child Development Department to resolve objections in rural areas.
- A committee of Tehsildar, Municipal Council CMO, Project Officer of Women and Child Development Department will be formed to resolve the objections in the Municipal Council area.
- In the Municipal Corporation area, a committee will be formed of Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Project Officer of Urban Development Agency and DPO of Women and Child Development Department.
Such will be the scrutiny of applications and publication of the final list
- The committee will have to take a decision in 15 days to investigate and resolve the objections received on the applications.
- The committee will consider only those cases on which objections have come.
- Apart from this, the eligibility of the rest of the applications will be checked by random selection at the state level.
- Final list will be released after scrutiny of objections. Acceptance letters will also be given to the eligible beneficiaries.
