Chief Justice took a jibe at political parties: Said parties want the court to support their agenda; We are only answerable to the Constitution

Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana has described the judiciary as completely independent and accountable to the Constitution. Targeting the political parties, the CJI said- The ruling party believes that the court should decide in their favor in every action, while the opposition parties also expect the judiciary to increase their agenda. The CJI said these things during an honor ceremony in San Francisco, USA.

CJI expressed disappointment about institutions
The Chief Justice has also expressed disappointment over the roles of different institutions in the country. The CJI said that 75 years have passed since independence, but still people have not understood the roles and responsibilities assigned to different institutions by the Constitution.

CJI NV Ramana had attended a felicitation ceremony organized by the Association of Indian Americans.

praised the people of the village
The Chief Justice said that the people of India have done very good work so far. We should have no reason to doubt his intelligence. The most important thing is that the people of the village have become more active and are performing their duties well. Both India and America are known for their diversity, which needs to be respected everywhere in the world.

Justice’s work is not political
The Chief Justice said in April that Justice Breyer had said that the work of a judge is not political. I completely agree with this statement. Once we have taken the oath of the constitution, once you start working as a judge, politics is no longer relevant. It is the Constitution, which guides us.
