Chhattisgarh’s Sonalika Ruchandani, Who Got 24th Rank On UPSC 2022 Reserve List, Shares Tips For Success – News18

This was Sonalika’s fifth attempt.

Sonalika completed her engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The Union Public Service Commission has published the reserve list for the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2022. The result was announced in May 2023, and the commission recommended 933 candidates for different central services positions. And now, the reserve list comprising 89 candidates for the remaining positions has been released.

Sonalika Ruchandani, a student from Chhattisgarh, has topped the new list. According to reports, Sonalika had to wait for 6 more months to see herself on the list. Her name was not on the final list of the UPSC 2022 result, which was released in May. Sonalika Ruchandani has been ranked 24 on the new list.

She had to face a lot of losses before achieving her dream, as per reports. She started preparing for the UPSC examination as soon as she completed engineering. Reportedly, this was her fifth attempt at the examination, in which she was finally able to get in. To prepare, she attended an examination tips session which was organised for the aspirants. She was also an active member of Quora, where she used to answer questions related to the examination, for people like herself.

Sonalika completed her engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in Ranchi, Jharkhand. According to her, to study for the examination you must have limited study material. The aspirant should have focused material instead of a collection of a lot of material.

Talking about the interview she gave after the test, she said that the questions were according to the UPSC DAF (Detailed Application Form).

The UPSC or the Union Public Service Commission is a recruitment agency which is run by the government of India. It came into being on October 1, 1926. Since April 5, 2022, Dr Manoj Soni has been the Chairman of the agency.
