The charge of the Congress in Haryana has been changed. Congress has now made Deepak Babaria in-charge of Haryana Congress. Babaria is considered close to Rahul Gandhi. Deepak Babaria has been in charge of Madhya Pradesh earlier. He will also hold the charge of Delhi.

Earlier, Congress in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil has been sent to Gujarat in Haryana. He will now be the President of the Gujarat Congress.

Rahul will keep an eye on Haryana factionalism
There is a big factionalism in the Haryana Congress. At present, the group of former CM Bhupendra Hooda is in control of the organization. Udaybhan has been made the state president of the party because of Hooda’s choice. Apart from Hooda, factions of Randeep Surjewala, Kumari Selja and Kiran Chowdhary are also active here. Rahul Gandhi will now keep an eye on this factionalism through Babariya.

Hope of return of government in Haryana
Congress is hopeful of returning the government after 10 years in Haryana. There is a BJP government here for the last 10 years. In such a situation, Congress feels that anti-incumbency can lead to the return of Congress here. Apart from this, in Himachal Pradesh, the Congress came back in the name of Old Pension Scheme ie OPS. This is being promised in Haryana as well.
