complete failure of punjab police
Protesters continue to gather in hundreds in Mohali district despite Section 144. They have swords, rods, sticks and other weapons. Mohali district police completely failed to stop them. It was said to do the demonstration in a peaceful manner. At the same time, taking weapons and coming on horses is also being considered as preparation for carrying out a violent incident. Intelligence of Punjab Police failed miserably and timely inputs were not given to Chandigarh Police. The police personnel had to bear the brunt of this.

demanding the release of hardcore criminals
Among the Sikh prisoners whose release is being demanded under Pakka Morcha, former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh’s killer and Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara are also there. Converting his death sentence to life imprisonment, the court decided to keep him in jail for life. On the other hand, Balwant Singh Rajoana, who was sentenced to death in the Beant Singh murder case, and Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar, convicted of the 1993 bomb blasts in Delhi, are important.

Pro-Khalistani organizations at Chandigarh border
According to the Chandigarh Police, 12 pro-Khalistani organizations under the Quami Insaaf Morcha are demanding the release of prisoners near the Mator barrier. Jagtar Singh Hawara’s godfather Gurcharan Singh, Lok Adhikar Lehar’s Balwinder Singh, Hawara’s lawyer Amar Singh Chahal, lawyer Dilsher Singh Jandiala, Waris Punjab De’s former head Palwinder Singh Talwara, Panthak Akal Lehar’s head Lakhwant Singh Daburjee, United Akali Dal K Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Akal Youth head Jaswinder Singh Rajpura and Deep Sidhu’s brother Mandeep Singh Sidhu are involved in this demonstration.

That’s why entry is denied in Chandigarh
The protesters had decided that starting February 6, a 31-member group would march daily from the protest site to the Punjab Chief Minister’s residence and Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh. However, due to Section 144 in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister’s residence being in a high sensitive zone and security reasons, the Chandigarh Police was continuously stopping the protesters. The protesters are angry over Hawara not being produced in the Mohali and Chandigarh courts as well.
