Chandigarh: 3 held in Rs 2 crore fraud case | Chandigarh News – Times of India

PANCHKULA: Police arrested three people in relation to a Rs 2 crore fraud case registered in Kalka, wherein the accused issued fake policies to a retired executive engineer. The accused have been remanded in five-day police custody.
Detective branch in-charge Mohinder Singh | said the accused are Amit Kumara resident of Greater NoidaNagendra, a resident of Sector 62, Noida, and Sanjay Kumar alias Atula resident of Sector 63, Noida.
Kuldeep Lal, a retired XEN from Kalka, said he took life insurance for five years from a private firm on the promise of good returns in 2012. In 2015, he said one K P Ahuja called him and asked him to purchase different policies in his name and deposit them in bank accounts for good returns. He said he paid Rs 2 crore but later found all the policies were fake.
Police said four other accused have already been arrested.
