Deputy CM had sent a proposal to Panchkula
A few days ago there was a meeting between Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala. In which it was agreed to name the airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Dushyant Chautala had recommended adding the name of Panchkula along with Chandigarh and Mohali. At the same time, the airport is in Mohali, so Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann wanted to add Mohali with the name of the airport.

PM Modi announced in Mann Ki Baat
