After 76 years of independence, the country has got a new parliament. It is part of the 64,500 sq m Central Vista project, the rest of which is scheduled to be completed by 2026. The new Parliament is important in many ways.

The most important thing is that this record was completed in 898 days. Out of this project of 25 thousand crores, about 900 crores have been spent in the new Parliament. Its life is also being told more than 150 years.

The 3.2 km long area from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate in New Delhi is called Central Vista. The name of the project to redevelop the entire area of ​​Central Vista is the Central Vista Re-Development Project.

The use of these buildings will change
North Block where currently there is the office of Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). South Block currently houses the offices of the PMO, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council (NSC). Both of these will be converted into the National Museum.

The existing Parliament building will be converted into an archaeological heritage site. It will also be used in parliamentary programs. IGNCA will be shifted to where Jamnagar House is at present, after re-development.

These buildings will be renovated: National Archives, Vanijya Bhawan will be renovated.

These buildings will be rebuilt: The new building of the Parliament has been constructed in this project. Now the new residence of the Vice-President will be built. A new Central Secretariat will be formed in which all the ministries of the government and their offices will be shifted.

Krishi Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, IGNCA, Udyog Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan, Jawahar Bhawan, National Museum, Vigyan Bhawan, Raksha Bhawan, Vice-President’s Residence, Jam Nagar House will be demolished for renovation. In place of these buildings, 10 new buildings of the Central Secretariat will be constructed. Along with this, the Central Conference Center will be built at the place where Jawahar Bhawan and Nirman Bhawan are at present.
