Central railway announces 14-hour infra block on Thane-Diva section | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: The Central Railway will operate a 14-hour infrastructure block on the existing fast tracks between Thane and Diva for carrying out cut and connection of old redundant slow lines with the existing fast corridor and commissioning of crossovers in connection with the corridor expansion project on the stretch.
The block will be operated for 14 hours on the down fast line from 1.20am on January 23 (Saturday/Sunday midnight) to 3.20pm on January 23 and for two hours on the Up fast line from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on January 23. During the block period, trains will be diverted on the slow lines between Diva and Thane, officials informed.
All down fast suburban/mail/express trains, except 11003 Dadar-Sawantwadi Road Tutari Express, departing Dadar after 11.40pm on January 22 till 2am on January 23 will be diverted from Matunga to Kalyan on the slow line and down mail/express trains during this time will not halt at Thane station. Down mail/express Kalyan bound trains departing from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus after midnight of January 23 will be diverted from Mulund to Kalyan on slow line and will not halt at Thane station.
Down suburban/mail/express trains leaving Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus from 2am of January 23 till completion of the block will be diverted on the slow line between Mulund and Kalyan. All Kalyan bound down mail/ express trains will not halt at Thane station and passengers are permitted to board their trains from Dadar or Kalyan. Meanwhile, Konkan bound down mail express trains will halt and run via platform number 7 at Thane.
After the block, Kalyan bound down fast locals /mail exp trains will run via Thane platform number 5 on new alignment running passing Kalwa and Mumbra in the Thane –Diva section while trains leaving CSMT / Dadar/ LTT towards Panvel arriving via down fast line or 5th line will arrive on platform no.7 at Thane and go via new 5th line (erstwhile Dn fast line) through Parsik Tunnel
Mail express trains with journey commencing on January 22 including 17618 Nanded-Mumbai Tapovan Express, 11030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyna Express, 12140 Nagpur-Mumbai Sewagram Express will remain cancelled. Services of Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Express, Mumbai-Karmali-Mumbai Tejas Express, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express, Mumbai-Jalna-Mumbai Janshatabdi Express, Mumbai-Kolhapur Koyna Express, Mumbai-Nagpur Sewagram Express with journey commencing on January 23 will be cancelled in both directions along with 17617 Mumbai-Nanded Tapovan Express.
The 16346 Thiruvananthapuram-LTT Netravati Express JCO January 21, 12052 Madgaon-Mumbai Janshatabdi Express JCO January 22, 10112 Madgaon-Mumbai Konkan Kanya Express JCO January 22 will be Short terminated at Panvel. Also, 16345 LTT-Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express JCO January 23, 12051 Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express JCO January 23, 10103 Mumbai-Madgaon Mandovi Express JCO January 23 will depart from Panvel.
