Since 2014 till now 22.05 crore people had applied for government jobs, but out of these only 7.22 lakh people got the job. The government itself gave this information in Parliament on Wednesday.

Most of the recruitment happened before the Lok Sabha elections
According to the government’s data, the maximum number of 1.47 lakh recruitments were done in 2019-20, the year the Lok Sabha elections were held. However, this year the least (1.78 crore) people applied. In 2014-15, 1.30 lakh people were recruited in government jobs. Since then there has been a steady decline in recruitment. Maximum 5.09 crore applications came in 2018-19.

In his reply, Jitendra Singh also said that creating jobs is the priority of the government. He also referred to the government schemes to create jobs.
He said that the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme was launched in the budget 2021-22. Rs 1.97 lakh crore will be spent in this scheme, implemented for five years. This scheme is likely to create 60 lakh new jobs.
He said that, ‘Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMYY) implemented by the government will increase self-employment. Under this scheme, individuals or small business enterprises will be able to get loans up to Rs 10 lakh without mortgaging any property.
Apart from this, the government has also started the Prime Minister Street Vendor Self-Reliant Fund Scheme from June 1, 2020, under which collateral-free loans are being given to those handcarts, whose business came to a standstill during the Corona period. was.
Jitendra Singh said that the Self-reliant India Employment Scheme has been launched from October 1, 2020, with the aim of creating new jobs and re-employment of those who lost their jobs during the Corona period. He said that till March 22, 2022, 59.54 lakh people have got the benefit of this scheme. Out of this 53.23 lakh people got new jobs.
