The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the examination date for the 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The CTET 2023 is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2023. The official notice regarding the examination date can be found on the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in. “The candidates registered for the 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are hereby informed that the CTET examination will now be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen-paper (OMR) based on 20.08.2023 (SUNDAY) all over India in the specified cities,” reads the official notice.
It is important to note that the CTET 2023 examination will be conducted in the traditional offline pen-and-paper mode. Candidates will be required to appear for the test physically at designated examination centers. For further details, including the application process, eligibility criteria, syllabus, and other relevant information, candidates are advised to refer to the official website of CBSE.

CTET Exam Pattern:
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carries one mark and there will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
The validity period of the CTET certificate is for a lifetime for all categories. A person can attempt the examination multiple times. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified for CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
