The CBI has reached a special court in Delhi to cancel the bail granted to Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav in the IRCTC scam. If sources are to be believed, the CBI has filed this petition on behalf of Tejashwi regarding the matter of threatening CBI officers in a press conference. The CBI has said that Tejashwi Yadav’s bail should be canceled because he has violated the bail conditions.
On the application of the CBI, Special Court Judge Geetanjali Goel has issued a notice to Tejashwi Yadav and sought his reply in the matter. Tejashwi has been given time till September 28 to reply. After that further action will be taken.
Know what Tejashwi said for CBI
In fact, in a press conference on August 25, Tejashwi Yadav had said, ‘Do CBI officers not have mothers and children, do they not have families, will they always be CBI officers, will they not retire, only this party remained in power. Well, what message do you want to convey? You should faithfully discharge the duty of a constitutional organization.
Tejashwi had told reporters in the RJD office that I have nothing to do with the Gurgaon White Land Company’s mall which is being told as mine. CBI had gone to catch my mall, I have caught the people of BJP. If you have guts then CBI should take action against Khattar.
Tejashwi had said – are no longer without a mustache
The RJD leader said openly on this occasion that now we are not that Tejashwi Yadav who did not even have a moustache, then the CBI had done the case. It’s been so many days, what happened in that? Now we have seven years of experience. In this, twice the leader of the opposition party, became deputy CM twice.
The matter was also raised in 2009
In 2009, there was an uproar over this issue. The then Railway Minister Mamta Banerjee had spoken of a CBI inquiry in this matter. Then Lalu Yadav had said that he had no knowledge of all this. He just did his job honestly. Other than that they don’t know anything.
What is IRCTC scam?
RJD supremo Lalu Yadav is also trapped in the IRCTC (Indian Railway Tourism and Catering Corporation) tender scam. He is accused of illegally giving contract to a private company to run two hotels in Bhubaneswar and Ranchi while being the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.
In lieu of this, he was provided 3 acres of land by this company in Saguna Mor area of Patna. In this case, the CBI had registered an FIR against Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and his son Tejashwi Yadav. All had got bail in this case two years ago. In the IRCTC tender scam case, Tejashwi and other accused have been chargesheeted under sections 420, 120B of IPC and various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
