The CBI has reached a special court in Delhi to cancel the bail granted to Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav in the IRCTC scam. If sources are to be believed, the CBI has filed this petition on behalf of Tejashwi regarding the matter of threatening CBI officers in a press conference. The CBI has said that Tejashwi Yadav’s bail should be canceled because he has violated the bail conditions.

On the application of the CBI, Special Court Judge Geetanjali Goel has issued a notice to Tejashwi Yadav and sought his reply in the matter. Tejashwi has been given time till September 28 to reply. After that further action will be taken.

What is IRCTC scam?

RJD supremo Lalu Yadav is also trapped in the IRCTC (Indian Railway Tourism and Catering Corporation) tender scam. He is accused of illegally giving contract to a private company to run two hotels in Bhubaneswar and Ranchi while being the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.

In lieu of this, he was provided 3 acres of land by this company in Saguna Mor area of ​​Patna. In this case, the CBI had registered an FIR against Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and his son Tejashwi Yadav. All had got bail in this case two years ago. In the IRCTC tender scam case, Tejashwi and other accused have been chargesheeted under sections 420, 120B of IPC and various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
