Bus fell into a ditch in Jammu and Kashmir: Accident in Poonch; 11 killed, 25 injured

Mini bus fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. 11 people died in the accident, while 25 people were injured. Army is engaged in rescue work. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital in Mandi. Mandi Tehsildar Shahzad Latif gave information about the accident. He told that the bus was going from Mandi to Savjiyan. During this the bus fell into the ditch.

Locals helped in evacuating the people trapped in the bus that fell into the ditch.

All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has announced Rs 5 lakh to the families of all the dead and Rs 1 lakh to the injured. Along with this, orders were given to the officers for better treatment of the injured. President Draupadi Murmu has condoled the accident. He tweeted – The death of people in the painful road accident in Savjian of Poonch is extremely sad. My condolences and prayers are with the families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.
