Seventeen people have been killed after a bus carrying 28 pilgrims fell into a gorge near Yamunotri National Highway in Uttarakhand’s Damta on Sunday, June 5. The bus was travelling towards Yamunotri.
Officials have recovered six bodies while six more were sent to a hospital. The bus was carrying pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh.
A rescue operation by the police and SDRF teams is currently underway.
