In Punjab’s Ludhiana, the police recovered Rs 50 lakh containing Rs 500 notes from a sewerage septic tank. This amount was part of Rs 8.49 crore received from Ludhiana’s ATM cash company CMS. Manjinder Mani, the partner of the robbery mastermind Mandeep Mona, had hidden the money in village Abuwal. He tied these rupees with bricks and hid them in a septic tank.

When the police arrested him and interrogated him, this amount was recovered. The police personnel took out money from the sewerage and washed it in water and seized it. Police has so far recovered Rs 1.5 crore from Manjinder Mani. He is working in the same company for 4 years.

At the same time, in this case, the police has arrested the seventh accused. Accused Narinder Singh alias Happy was apprehended from Kothe Hari Singh, Aglad Lope Kalan Jagraon. Police has recovered 25 lakh rupees of loot from Narinder Singh.

Along with this, the police will also interrogate absconding mastermind Mandeep Kaur’s maternal and in-laws. In search of him, police teams are raiding other states besides Punjab. The 5 DVRs that have gone missing from the company are also with him.

1 crore spent in catching the accused
Ludhiana Police Commissioner Mandeep Sidhu said that till now around Rs 1 crore has been spent to nab the accused. With this, the workers had to enter sewerage lines to search for the money.

The accused had planned to wear black clothes on the day of the incident, so that nothing could be seen during the night. Only a few of them wore black clothes. He said that the discussion is going on with the DGP to recover the cost incurred in solving the matter from the company itself.

Mona-Mani looted by forming a gang
Mandeep Kaur Mona and Manjinder have become the masterminds of this robbery. Mani tells Mona that the entire security system in the CMS company is a scam. On June 9, when there was excess cash, Mani informed Mona about it. Mona took 8 more accused along and all of them looted the company at 1.30 am. After about 60 hours, the police solved the incident and so far 7 robbers have been arrested in this case.

When Manjinder Mani along with his two companions came to pick up the hidden bag of money, the police caught him. Money was already on the police’s radar. In fact, after the robbery, the money was taken to the company’s cash van. The moment the van left the company, its flicker lights lit up. About which only the driver knows. That is why the police was keeping an eye on him. The entire incident came to light after questioning Mani and his two accomplices.
