In Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi, a brother had to take his sister’s body from the hospital on a bike as he was not given a hearse even on demand. Brother took the dead body and reached the police station 5 kilometers away. Where he informed about his sister’s suicide and complained to the hospital management.

The girl used to study in Inter. Fearing failure, he hanged himself on Thursday evening. He was admitted to a private hospital, where he died on Friday morning.

The student died during treatment in a private hospital. When the family asked for a hearse, the hospital did not provide it. In such a situation, the dead body was taken from the bike.

The case pertains to Ambedkar Nagar locality of Kokhraj police station. The name of the deceased was Despair (16). Brother Kuldeep said, “Sister had given the Inter papers. The papers were not good, so she was worried. When she got the news of the result a few days back, she started feeling afraid of failure.

On Thursday she was sitting in the house with us. After some time she went to the room. Didn’t come out for a long time, so we went to the room. Saw there that she was hanging by putting a noose in the fan. He was breathing. We immediately took him to Tejamati Hospital. He died on Friday morning.”

A police picket was also standing as soon as he came out of the hospital.  He saw the dead body being taken from the bike, but did not help.

The hospital caught a long bill, did not provide a hearse
Brother Kuldeep told that the sister was not treated properly in the hospital. After his death, Long Bill was caught. When we refused to give so much money, they refused to give the hearse. We waited for half an hour, but still they did not agree.

Station in-charge Ramesh Patel said, “A young man named Kuldeep had reached the police station with his sister’s dead body. Legal action is being taken by taking possession of the dead body. The relatives have told about non-availability of the dead body from the private hospital. Strict action will be taken after investigating the matter.

Kaushambi’s CMO Dr. Suspendra Singh said, “A case of non-provision of a hearse vehicle has come to the fore after the death of a patient in a private hospital, Tejmati. The investigation has been handed over to Additional CMO level officer. On receipt of the report, strict action will be taken against the private hospital operator.
