After the closure of Atiq-Ashraf’s chapter, the focus is now on Mukhtar Ansari. Mukhtar was sentenced to 7 years on 22 September 2022. The very next day he was sentenced to 5 years in the second case. Exactly 84 days later, the MP-MLA court sentenced him to 10 years. After being convicted in three cases, there is to be an appearance in another case today.

Today the condition is such that Mukhtar’s own elder brother MP Afzal Ansari says, “Mukhtar is now number one after Atiq, but the one who saves is greater than the one who kills.” You already know the crime stories of Mukhtar. Threatened to kill if extortion of 10 crores is not received

Mukhtar called up a builder and asked for extortion of Rs 10 crore. Threatened to kill the builder if extortion was not received.

Mukhtar’s troubles increased after the formation of the BJP government in the state in 2017. He wanted to get out of the jail here at any cost. Succeeded in January 2019. Mukhtar called up Punjab’s builder Umang from Punjab’s number and asked for extortion of Rs 10 crore. Threatened to kill for not paying extortion. When Umang lodged a complaint, the Punjab Police registered a case in Mohali.

When the case was registered, the police came to UP with a production warrant. Before coming here, neither it was checked whether Mukhtar had made that call or someone else. Nor was Mukhtar’s voice matched with that audio. Punjab Police took permission from Banda Court and reached Punjab on 21 January 2019 with him. Presented in the court, then Ropar Jail became the new abode of Mukhtar.

40 times refused to send Mukhtar to UP
Mukhtar went away easily from here, but the UP police had to work hard to bring him back to UP. In all, the Punjab government refused 40 times on one pretext or the other. Dozens of times in this, the Punjab Police did not send Mukhtar to UP by calling him medically unfit. It is shown in the medical that he is a patient of diabetes and BP. Once depression was also cited as the reason.

Pretended to walk in a wheel chair for 2 years
Most of Mukhtar’s crimes were in UP, so he had to be produced here. But the police were not able to bring Mukhtar. Finally got success after two years and on 7th April 2021, the date to bring Mukhtar to UP was finalized. Seeing the encounter image of UP Police, Mukhtar did the drama. Boarded the ambulance via wheel chair. The officials thought that he was sick but as soon as he reached Banda Jail, he got up from the wheel chair and went to Barrack No. 16 following his steps.

Talking about this, STF chief Amitabh Yash says in an interview, Mukhtar did a drama in the name of a wheel chair. This drama was going on for two years. Now it was not that there was something in the water of Banda that he started walking as soon as he reached here.

Before coming to UP, Mukhtar pretended to walk on a wheel chair for 2 years.

If the UP police does not bring, then there is no punishment
Amitabh Yash says, it had been 32 years since the Awadhesh Rai Murder. But the trial was not completed. He (Mukhtar) had shifted to Punjab so that the trial in such crimes could not be completed. When the UP police brought him here, the trial was completed and the result was that he was punished three times in different cases. If it was not brought then it was also decided that in any case Mukhtar would not have been punished.

Amitabh Yash explains, “Not only Mukhtar but every mafia gets this done in their cases. These people try to take the witnesses under their control. For this, they threaten, give money. When he agrees, They get acquitted by getting dates from the lawyer quickly. But where it doesn’t work, they delay it.” Amitabh tells about a case related to Atiq Ahmed, a person named Zaid was to testify. In order to prevent his testimony, the lawyers of the extreme side got a strike done in the court.

STF Chief says, there were 15 accused in Atiq’s case. For this, the mafia had hired 15 lawyers. It took 24 dates but the cross examination of the witnesses could never be completed. Because one or the other lawyer would always be on leave. Or he would have imposed medical treatment for the false illness of the accused. That’s why the case of these mafia used to go on like this for 20-20 years. These mafias know that if someone testifies and gets punished, then their fear will end. They do all this to maintain the same fear.

Doesn’t threaten just tells every detail about the family
Mukhtar Ansari’s way of threatening is completely different from other mafias. Amitabh tells Yash, when he is in jail, he tells the jail staff that your wife teaches in such and such school. Very nice school. Son studies in Dehradun, your daughter studies in 8th standard in this school in Lucknow. Tell me to get him done in a good school. These things are definitely normal for people, but the person who is engaged in security, his heart dries up. That’s why the Mukhtar starts doing what he says. Mukhtar has engaged many people for this information.

The mafia doesn’t just threaten. Many times he twists the system through greed. The officers who are engaged in the investigation were given money. Got flat. Promised to get the son a job. By doing these things, they keep rotating the system. In most cases, their reach is high. The officer is in danger of life. That’s why mafias often get away.
