- The 20th All India Triennial Convention of the Indian Railway Mazdoor Sangh concluded,
Kharagpur, After the success of the 20th All India Triennial Convention of the Indian Railway Mazdoor Sangh, the return of representatives has started. Delegates from the South Eastern Railway zone are returning to the convention with renewed vigor. It is also because this time only Pawan Kumar of the zone has got the responsibility of all India leadership, which is a big and responsible thing for the SER zone. This is the reason that the representatives of the zone are very excited and this enthusiasm will be communicated after returning here in the form of increasing their penetration among the railway workers. This convention was held in Chennai on 9 and 10 April. The program was inaugurated by the National President of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Hiranyama Pandya, while the Chief Guest was the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. B Surendran was present as the keynote speaker. Unions of different zones affiliated to the Indian Railway Mazdoor Sangh participated in it.

Officers from various divisions of the South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh also went to Chennai to attend the program. In the program, South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Union central office bearers like newly elected General Secretary Balwant Singh, President Pawan Kumar, Vice President Manish Chandra Jha, Vice President Shravan Kumar, Organization Minister P.K. Patro, cashier Abhishek Kumar were present. The factory secretary of Kharagpur factory, P.K. Kundu, Signal and Telecom Branch Branch Secretary P. Srinivas and other officials like Chhavi Lal, Ranjit Kumar, Sanjay Shukla, Ritesh Kumar Mishra, Sanjay Shukla, Mukesh Kumar, Bhavani Chandra Gop, Ratan Kumar, Vivek Pandey etc. attended the conference.
Various issues like ban on privatization/corporatization of railways, implementation of old pension scheme by abolishing new pension scheme, giving night allowance to all without any ceiling, confirmation of contract workers and fixation of bonus on minimum salary of Rs 18000 etc. was considered. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, being associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for some important work, joined the program through virtual medium. They discussed various issues. He said in his statement that misleading and false propaganda is being done by other unions and opposition parties regarding privatization/corporatisation in the railways. There will be no privatization or corporatization in the Railways. Railways is emphasizing on self-reliance using new technologies developed in the country.
On the second day of the convention, the office bearers of the Indian Railway Mazdoor Sangh were elected. In which Pawan Kumar, President and Mangesh Deshpande were elected unanimously as the Secretary General. Due to the election of Pawan Kumar as the president, there was euphoria among the office bearers of the South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh.
