Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with Jat leaders at the residence of BJP MP Parvesh Verma in Delhi on Wednesday.

Before the UP elections, the BJP has started persuading the angry Jats. Amit Shah held a meeting with Jat leaders at the residence of BJP MP Parvesh Verma in Delhi on Wednesday. After the meeting, Pravesh Verma said in a conversation with the media, ‘Jat leaders discussed about RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary with Amit Shah. Shah said that now Jayant has chosen the party. There are many possibilities after the elections. Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan was also present in the meeting.

At the same time, the RLD supremo tweeted and said that the invitation is not me, give it to those +700 farmer families whose houses you have destroyed !!

Verma said that the people of Jat community will talk to Jayant. BJP’s doors are always open for them. Verma also said that we want Jayant to come back to his home i.e. in BJP. But he has chosen the wrong path.

The party leadership has made Amit Shah in-charge of West UP in the UP assembly elections.

‘You may scold, but don’t vote in the wrong place’

It was told in some media reports that in the meeting, Shah has asked the Jat leaders to take a scolding, even if it is. But don’t vote in the wrong place. Jats also think for farmers and BJP too. Jats think for the security of the country and BJP too. Amit Shah further said that if there is any complaint, you can quarrel with them, but there should not be any resentment with the party.

At the same time, Jat leader of Bulandshahr Narendra Sarohi said that during the meeting with Shah, we have demanded Bharat Ratna for Chaudhary Charan Singh and reservation for Jats. He has given positive assurance on this.

SP-RLD alliance in West UP
Actually, SP and RLD have formed an alliance for the assembly elections. So far, RLD has fielded its candidates on 32 seats in western UP. While there are SP candidates in 10 seats. This alliance has spoiled the political math of BJP. Jats and Muslims are the major vote bank of West UP. In such a situation, if it moves away from the BJP, then it can be difficult for the party.

Jats angry due to agriculture bill, Shah has responsibility
In fact, Jats have been considered BJP’s vote bank. Since the time of the 2014 elections, the BJP has been getting a lot of support from the Jats. However, after the three agricultural laws, the resentment of the Jats grew with the BJP government. This is the reason that before the elections, BJP has started persuading the angry Jats.

It is difficult for the BJP to conquer West UP. That is why the party leadership has made Amit Shah in-charge of West UP in the UP assembly elections.

Why Jat is important for BJP, because 75 seats are affected
Jat vote influences 75 assembly seats in West UP’s Meerut division, Saharanpur mandal, Agra, Aligarh, Moradabad, Bareilly mandals. Chaudhary Sanjeev Balyan, a resident of Muzaffarnagar district of West UP, is the Minister of State at the Centre. On the other hand, Satyapal Singh, a resident of Baghpat district, is an MP from the Baghpat Lok Sabha seat. At the same time, BJP MP from Delhi Parvesh Verma is the son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma. The BJP is trying to reach out to the Jat community in West UP.
