Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was among those who delivered a presentation on the first day of the conclave, and his topic was the digitisation of gram secretariats and its impact
Central government schemes and the Lok Sabha elections were focus on the first day of chief ministers’ conclave chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two-day event is being attended by chief ministers and deputies of BJP-ruled states.
According to sources, Modi noted the efforts of the BJP-run governments to help different sections of society, especially the poor. He said on X, “Our Party is working tirelessly to further good governance and fulfil the aspirations of the people.”
The mukhyamantri parishad organised by the BJP at regular intervals is aimed at reviewing key schemes in states, following the best governance practices and the delivery of central government welfare initiatives.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was among those who delivered a presentation. His topic was the digitisation of gram secretariats and its impact. His Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma also made a presentation on recruitment drive for government jobs while Bihar deputy CM Dr Vijay Sinha Bedi’s topic was how to curb illegal mining and its impact. N Biren Singh, the CM of strife-torn Manipur, attended this meeting after a year since ethnic clashes broke out in the northeastern state. He made a presentation on development projects.
Among other issues discussed during the Adityanath’s presentation was the focus on how to make India the world’s third largest economy – a goal stressed upon by the prime minister time and again.
There was much emphasis on how to maximise the impact of the central government schemes in all states. The central leadership of the BJP told all the states once again to ensure that every last penny given to schemes should be implemented on the ground and no beneficiary should be left out.
Adityanath and his deputies, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, were also present after not attending together a number of other meetings recently called in Uttar Pradesh. Sarma, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Goa CM Pramod Sawant, Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini were among others present.
Along with the prime minister, BJP national president JP Nadda and Union home minister Amit Shah were also present at the meeting. On the second day, the focus will primarily be on political issues with upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand.
