BJP workers were protesting outside the premises of the District Collector on Wednesday. During this, there was an altercation between him and the lady inspector.

According to media reports, BJP workers were protesting outside the District Collector’s office over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. After the incident, complaints have been lodged from both the sides.

Inspector Pradhan told that when the BJP workers were trying to enter the premises, he tried to stop the workers. During this, Jayanarayan came in front of him and started asking who he was. The inspector said that when I revealed my identity, he accused me of taking bribe and called me a dacoit. I asked Jayanarayan why he was making such allegations against me, then he grabbed my face and pushed me.

Police bid – action will be taken after the report of the case
Sambalpur SP B Gangadhar said that he has sought a field report of the incident and the matter will be probed. However, the Odisha Police Service Association has spoken to the DIG demanding action against Mishra.
