BJP jumps in Manohar murder case in Chamba: Demonstration in all districts today; Will demand hanging of the accused, 11 people detained

People burnt the house of the accused who killed the youth in Chamba.

The Bharatiya Janata Party will hit the streets today in connection with the murder of a Hindu youth in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. BJP has announced to protest in all the districts of the state. During this, a memorandum will be submitted to the Governor through all the DCs demanding death sentence to the accused.

Manohar Lal (22) was murdered on 6 June by people from the minority community. Enraged by this brutal murder, the villagers burnt both the houses of the accused last Thursday. After this DC Chamba imposed section 144 in Saluni sub division.

Because of this, former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur could not meet the family members of deceased Manohar Lal today. The police stopped Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders in Chauhada itself. Angered by this, the BJP leaders today announced a dharna in all the districts.

In such a situation, the spark of protest from Chamba’s Saloni will be seen across the state today. By demonstrating, BJP will try to surround the Sukhu government. However, the police have taken 11 people into custody in this case.

murder in love affair

According to the police, Manohar Lal was murdered because of a love affair. There was a love affair between Dalit youth Manohar of Sanghani village of Saluni and a minor girl of Bhandal village of another community. This was known to their families. After which there was tension in both the families for a long time.

Manohar Lal was missing since June 6

On June 6, Manohar Lal was called home and brutally beaten to death. Later, his body was cut into 7 pieces and dumped in a drain in a sack. Those recovered on 9 June. So far 11 people have been taken into custody in this case. First arrested the minor girl and her brother-in-law. Two days later the uncle and aunt of the girl were arrested. As the investigation progresses. Police is also interrogating other people by taking them into custody.

Photo went viral on June 11

On June 11, during the post-mortem, photos related to the pieces of the dead body went viral on social media. After this people got angry. On June 12, the State General Secretary of Hindu Jagran Manch met the victim’s family and consoled them. On the same day, the people of the Muslim community held a meeting in Jaladi of Bhandal and decided to socially boycott the murderer’s family.

13 Telka, took out protest rally in Sanghani

On June 13, people took out an outrage rally at Bachat Bhavan Chamba, Telka, Sanghani and expressed their anger and demanded hanging of the accused. On June 14, villagers reached Kihar police station and protested by blocking the road.

On June 15, two houses of the accused were set on fire.

Angry people closed the Saluni, Telka, Lachodi, Sundla markets on June 15 and laid siege to the Kihar police station. After this, the villagers set two houses of the murder accused on fire. Seeing the tense situation, DC Chamba imposed section 144 in Saluni sub division. On the same day in Shimla, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur demanded an NIA inquiry.

Entry of politics on 16th June

On June 16, politics entered the Manohar murder case. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur reached Chamba to meet the relatives of the deceased youth, but he was stopped by the police. This enraged the BJP.

Manohar Lal was feeding the family by driving a mule

Manohar Lal used to carry goods on mules. It is being told that Manohar Lal had left for the girl’s house from a place called Panjiyara. At that time his two mules were also with him. The mules stood there for two days.

Due to this the villagers suspected that when Manohar’s mules are here, they can also be found nearby. On June 9, while searching in Panjiyara, it was found from the foul smell that Manohar’s body was in the drain. Videos and some photos related to the incident also went viral on social media.

Manohar Lal’s three sisters are married. He was the only son, while his old parents depended on Manohar Lal.
