Kanpur: Two supporters not only placed bets for the victory of their parties, but signed on a stamp paper so that no one turns away from the condition.
The affidavit read that if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins, then Samajwadi Party (SP) supporter will give his bike to the BJP supporter, and if SP wins then BJP supporter will give his tempo to the SP supporter.
The matter was reported from Bashari village under the limits of mataundh police station in Banda district. This bizarre case came to the fore after the stamp paper, went viral on the social media. TOI, however, does not confirm the veracity of the stamp paper.
The officials at Mataundh police station said that investigations are underway in this regard. The stamp paper of Rs 100 also had the signatures of six witnesses.
Mataundh police station in-charge Arvind Singh Gaur said, “We are aware of the affidavit going viral on various social media platforms. Further action will be taken on the instructions of higher officials.”tnn
