After the massive devastation caused by Cyclone Biparjoy in Gujarat, now the people of Himachal may also have to face its wrath. The Meteorological Department has alerted the people of the state. Dr. Surendra Pal, director of the Meteorological Center Shimla, told that the effect of Biparjoy in Himachal can be seen on June 18 and 19.

After Gujarat, today and tomorrow the effect of Biparjoy will be seen in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Its impact can be seen in Himachal after two days. Due to this, there may be strong winds and heavy rainfall at some places.

Dr. Pal told that due to Biparjoy, rains will increase in Himachal from tomorrow. There is a possibility of rain and storm in most areas of the state from June 18 to 20. Heavy rain is forecast in some areas tomorrow as well.

He told that by June 20, there is a possibility of pre-monsoon knocking in Himachal. Earlier, the rains in the month of May have broken the records of the last 20 years. Due to incessant rains, the heat could not be felt in the state this time. Even today the average minimum temperature of the state is 1.8 degrees below normal.

There has been drizzle in some areas in the state during the last 24 hours. Keylong recorded a minimum temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius and Dholakuan recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1 degrees Celsius. In such a situation, after the start of the next five-six rains, the temperature will drop further.
