The session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly began on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, NCP’s Ajit Pawar raised questions on the food bill of CM Shinde’s government bungalow. Ajit had said- Bill of 2.38 crores in 4 months, in which year such golden water is mixed in the tea of Varsha Bungalow.
On this, CM Shinde replied to Ajit and said- People from far and wide come to the CM’s residence. They are given tea, not biryani. It is in our culture that when someone comes to our house, he is offered tea and water. Shouldn’t we do this?
In the information sought under RTI, information about the bill of Varsha Bungalow has been given.

Ajit Pawar said in the press conference that I have worked as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Many of my friends were also Chief Ministers. The food bill of Varsha Bungalow for 4 months has come to Rs 2 crore 38 lakh. Somebody tell what golden water is mixed in the tea of Varsha Bungalow.
In the RTI, quoting which Ajit made these allegations, there is also a mention of the bill of Rs 91,000 for the tea-breakfast bill of Sahyadri Guest House in August 2022 and the bill of Rs 3.49 lakh from June to September.
Ajit also alleged that the government has spent 50 crores on advertisements in the last 6 months. The Chief Minister spent public money on advertisements to show his smiling face.
Shinde said – Ajit is a traitor, it is good that he is not in the tea party
On the other hand, on the allegations of Ajit Pawar, CM Shinde said – Ajit is a traitor. Had I had tea with him, I would have been a traitor. I was saved because of his absence.
