Bihar’s Gopal Narayan Singh University Organises Its Second International Conference – News18

The conference saw the participation of over 800 delegates.

Addressing the inaugural event, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar emphasised the role of women working in the multidisciplinary field of research.

The Gopal Narayan Singh University located in Jamuhar, in Rohtas district in Bihar, successfully held its second International Conference starting from March 10 to 12. The conference discussing the topic of Women in Multifaceted Research welcomed esteemed guests including the Governor of Bihar, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha.

Addressing the inaugural event, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar emphasised the role of women working in the multidisciplinary field of research. He spoke about the status of female educators as mentioned in ancient texts such as in Rigveda.

Adding to his note to the researchers, academicians, professionals, and students, Governor Arlekar mentioned India’s rich educational heritage by highlighting the significance of institutions like Nalanda and Taxila. Following the same, the chief guest also lauded the Gopal Narayan Singh University for its crucial step of organising such conferences aiming to discuss women’s empowerment.

Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also addressed the attendees by emphasising the sentiments of traditional reverence for women in Indian culture, and their indispensable contributions to creation, knowledge, and protection. He also shared his optimism about the conference’s significant contribution to the country’s development and commended the university’s initiatives in championing women-centric programs.

As per the official website of the institution, the main objective of the conference is to make a practical effort towards connecting the industry and research, perceive global partners for future collaborations and exchange new ideas and experiences. The conference aimed to offer a platform to hold discussions between academics and thought leaders.

The inaugural day of the International Conference on Women in Multifaceted Research featured several seminars across various departments in the university. The seminars mainly focused on the discussions surrounding women’s skills and related subjects.

As per reports, the conference welcomed representatives from over eight countries and counting of more than 800 delegates. It included 28 international participants who actively engaged in different sessions.
