Bihar: Raids by a central agency were underway at the residence of RJD MLC Sunil Singh on Wednesday. According to the details, the raids were being conducted at the Patna residence of Sunil Singh.
A team of 10 officers from the CBI had reached the residence of RJD MLC Sunil Singh at 8 am today.
Visuals shared by news agency ANI showed police and officials outside the residence of Sunil Singh.
The development comes ahead of the crucial Bihar floor test today.
Meanwhile, several supporters of Sunil Singh gathered outside his residence and protested against the raids.
Raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were also underway in Bihar, in connection with the alleged land for job scam.
Raids underway across Bihar, Jharkhand
A central agency on Wednesday conducted raids at multiple locations in Jharkhand’s Ranchi as well, in connection with the ongoing investigation of illegal mining and extortion case.
The locations are linked to one Prem Prakash, who is believed to have strong connections with politicians.
Fresh searches were conducted after the interrogation of Pankaj Mishra (MLA representative of CM Hemant Soren) and others.
