New Delhi: Salman Khan once again lit the television screens with the new season of his much-awaited celebrity reality game show ‘Bigg Boss 16’, which premiered on Saturday night. The game show is popular for its controversial contestants, their conflicts between the house and much more. The celebrity game show is loaded with lots of drama and entertainment.
While ‘Bigg Boss 16′ is now going to light up the television screens for over three months, here are a few highlights from the premiere night that revealed the long-awaited contestants’ list for this season.
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, known for her role in the daily soap ‘Choti Sardarni’, became the first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss 16 house, which is circus themed, this year. Nimrit expressed her desire to see Salman Khan shirtless on the show during one of the ‘Weekend ka Vaar’ episodes. On entering the house, Bigg Boss also gave her the opportunity to be the first captain.
Show host Salman Khan and internet sensation Abdu Rozik from Tajikistan got into a fun banter. Salman then welcomed ‘Udaariyan’ fame actors Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chaudhary, who gave a glimpse of their chemistry by performing on ‘Naach Punjaban’. They also played a game and were teased by the host for their friendship.
Rapper MC Stan, who is also one of the contestants on the show, talked about his journey to success. He also revealed about his girlfriend and said that he is all set to get engaged next year to his Booba.
Archana Singh expressed her desire of getting married to an MP while Gautam Vig revealed that he wants to be in love. The two also performed a romanti gig and entered the house, together.
Television actor Shalin Bhanot, who was last seen in the supernatural drama ‘Naagin’ aired on Zee TV, bowled Salman with his dance performance. He also expressed his desire to step into Salman’s shoes and host the reality show, one day. Salman gave him a heads up about all the chores that he will have to do inside the house when Shalin said that he doesn’t know anything about cleaning or other household activities.
Saundarya Sharma and Bigg Boss Marathi winner Shiv Thakare had a fun moment with the show host when both revealed that one was a non-practising dentist while the other was a non-practising engineer.
‘Imli’ fame actress Sumbul Touqueer swayed with her dance performance on ‘Chaka Chak’. She also mimiced Salman and got praised by him. She is youngest participant on the show.
The next to enter the show was former Miss India Manya Singh. Then came Haryanvi dancer Gori Nagori, who made Salman groove to lively beats.
‘Uttaran’ fame actors Sreejita De and Tina Datta also entered the Bigg Boss house. Sreejita called Tina “dominating” and said that they were not friends.
Director-comedian Sajid Khan received a welcome message from Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill, whom the former considers as his sister. Salman also revealed that his friendship with Sajid is 40 years old and that they were both taught acting by Sajid’s aunt.
‘Bigg Boss 16’ airs on Colors TV at 9:30 pm on weekends and at 10 pm on weekdays.
