Nothing, Xiaomi and iQOO are some of the big brands planning launches

Nothing, Xiaomi and a few other brands are expected to light up the market in February 2024 with their big launches.

The year started with a bang as many popular brands decided to unleash their flagship products in the market, including India. We saw the Galaxy S24 series launch from Samsung, the OnePlus 12 series was also announced but February is likely to be even more intense with launches as companies build up to the Mobile World Congress later next month. From what we have heard in reports, brands like Nothing, Xiaomi and iQOO have things lined up in the coming days and here’s a round-up of the big launches we expect to see in February 2024

Big Phone Launches Expected In February 2024

Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing is rumoured to be working on a new affordable Phone model called Phone 2a and it is expected to be announced at the MWC 2024 in the coming weeks. The Phone 2a could be made available in two colour ways: black and white.

The device will ship with 8GB RAM and 128GB memory in the base model, and the same could be priced sub EUR 400, which converts to around Rs 37,000 but we expect the price of the Phone 2a could be closer to Rs 32,999 in India when it launches. Going down the price range means the phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip and feature an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro

iQOO is looking to build on the early promise created by the launch of the iQOO 12 in December. The new iQOO Neo 9 Pro has been confirmed to launch in February for buyers in India and the most exciting news about the device is that you will get it with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. iQOO Neo 9 Pro could be another aggressive offering from the brand, which already has the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phone in the country.

The device is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will come with a dual rear camera setup consisting of the 50-megapixel Sony IMX 920 as the main sensor and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit. A 16-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter is also expected. Moreover, it could ship with Android 14 out of the box.

Honor X9b 5G

Honor will be expanding its product lineup with the help of Htech in India with the launch of the Honor X9b smartphone in February. This phone focuses on a durable screen which the brand is touting as strong enough to handle smashes and even being run over cars. The phone’s listing online suggests you will get it with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is likely to be a mid-range offering from the brand and we’ll get more details in the build up to the launch.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

Xiaomi launched the 14 series in China a couple of months back and it is expected to be announced in India soon as well. But the brand is already looking into the future with the launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model that could be part of its lineup at the MWC 2024 in February. The biggest highlight of the Ultra moniker is the Leica-tuned and engineered cameras that have shown their capability with the 12S Ultra and last year’s 13 Ultra globally. We expect to see further advancements in the camera tech from the brand and hopefully a launch timeline for India as well.
