New Delhi: Veteran singer Bhupinder Singh, best known for his ghazals, breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital on Monday, July 18. He was 82. The ‘Dil Dhoondta Hai’ fame singer was suffering from colon ailment for some time, and also contracted Covid in the past few days.

From hating singing and musical instruments as a child to becoming one of the legends of ghazals, the veteran singer came a long way. Bhupinder Singh got his first big break with Rajesh Khanna starrer ‘Aakhri Khat’ in 1966. The legendary singer, best known for his heavy bass voice, gave Bollywood some of its most memorable songs. Bhupinder Singh might not be with us anymore, but his soulful singing will remain with us, forever.
