Bhuntar Airport fake website case: Kullu police arrested 2 from Delhi’s Rajokri and took them on remand for 4 days, laptop recovered

Two accused arrested from Delhi in the custody of Kullu Police.

Himachal’s Kullu Police has arrested two Delhi residents in connection with forgery in the name of Bhuntar Airport. Police is interrogating them by taking them on remand for four days. A case was registered against both of them for making a fake website in the name of Bhuntar Airport, promising jobs and cheating.

Fake website was created in 2021

According to the case, in the year 2021, the director of Bhuntar Airport, Neeraj Srivastava gave a complaint to the police station Bhuntar. In which it was told that some unknown person has created a fake website in the name of Bhuntar Airport to bluff and cheat. Which has nothing to do with Bhuntar airport. Due to this many people are falling prey to fraud. Bhuntar police had registered a case.

Special police team formed

When the matter was technical, the investigation of the matter was taken over by Inspector Sunil Kumar Sakhyan, in-charge of the new station of police station Bhuntar. The accused were identified. Later, a police team was formed by the Superintendent of Police Kullu to solve the said case and nab the accused. In-charge police station Bhuntar Sunil, Jawan Narendra Kumar, Premnath, Suresh and Vikas were included in this team.

The police team went to Delhi and arrested the main accused and one of his accomplices from West Delhi’s village Rajokri, who created the fake website after searching for the accused. Both have been brought by the police team to Bhuntar. The accused have been identified as Jitendra Pratap Singh resident of village Rajokri West Delhi and Ankit Babu resident of village Rajokri West Delhi.

Kullu SP Gurdev Sharma said that the police have produced both of them in a local court and have taken them on remand for four days. Both are being questioned in connection with the matter. The police team has recovered 3 laptops, 2 mobiles, Airtel Hotspot and fake stamps from their possession.
