Samiksha Pednekar praises sister Bhumi Pednekar’s film Bhakshak.

Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhakshak‘s trailer has finally been released. The crime thriller had already created a buzz when the makers released the teaser. Inspired by true events, Netflix’s upcoming crime drama Bhakshak premieres on February 9. Ahead of its global release, Bhumi Pednekar’s sister Samiksha praised Bhumi and the film, after catching a special screening.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Samiksha gave a shoutout to Bhumi Pednekar. She wrote,
“Proud of you Bhumi, you’ve outdone yourself and we are so proud of you. Bhakshak is one of the most important films of our time! A must watch.”
The trailer opens with a scene showing a room filled with girls who are abandoned. Sanjay Mishra informs Bhumi Pednekar about the wrong things done to girls and then she starts to gather information about it. This led her to know that the minister is involved and many high-level politicians are also. It will be really interesting to see how Bhumi Pednekar comes to know the truth and whether will she be able to catch the person. The trailer is very intense and her character as a journalist is also very catching. The film follows the life of a fearless investigative journalist who uncovers shocking secrets hidden within a girls’ shelter home.
Bhakshak explores the journey of an unwavering woman’s quest to seek justice. Bhumi Pednekar as Vaishali Singh portrays the role of an investigative journalist who wants to bring to light a heinous crime, laying bare the ground reality of crimes against women. “Our aim was to shed light on the harsh realities of society and spark conversations that lead to meaningful change,” director Pulkit shared. “I’m looking forward to more people joining this important dialogue,” he further added.
