SC will hear on Monday a public interest litigation seeking probe into the causes of Gujarat Morbi accident. The petition has demanded that to prevent such incidents in future, rules should be made to manage the crowd gathering in old bridges or historical heritage across the country.
Advocate Vishal Tiwari said in the court that many states have such structures. We demand that a judicial commission should be constituted to investigate this case. At the same time, the CJI-led bench had allowed the listing of this case on 14 November.

Navy man commits suicide in ship, shoots himself with service rifle
A 25-year-old Indian Navy soldier shot himself with his service rifle on board a ship in Mumbai. He died on the spot. This incident is of Saturday. The Navy has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
