Delhi Police has arrested four activists of Congress’ youth wing National Student Union of India (NSUI) for setting ablaze outside the Delhi residence of BJP President JP Nadda. According to the police, the incident took place on June 21 at around 4.30 pm when 8-10 people gathered outside Nadda’s residence in Motilal Nehru and started raising slogans. After some time, the protesters became aggressive and set fire to them by tying two khaki shorts on a pole.
After this, the protesters tried to throw burning wood in the security room at the gate of the house, but the security staff stopped this from happening. CCTV footage revealed that 10-12 people had come in two vehicles. These vehicles are registered in Rohtak in Haryana and Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
Based on these evidences, the police raided at different places and arrested four people. The accused have been identified as Jagdeep Singh, Samastha Rana, Pranav Pandey and Vishal. All are NSUI workers.
