The cook obeyed the caterpillar, but the officers kept pressing the matter. When flour was poured on the ground, the caterpillars (in the circle) also came out of it.

Patients admitted in Bhopal’s Hamidia Hospital were being fed loaves of flour containing caterpillars for the last 20 days. The staff working in the kitchen of the hospital informed the management many times, but the lice would not crawl on their ears. When the matter came to light, on Monday, the officers got one and a half quintals of flour returned in a hurry.

When Bhaskar team should talk to Dr. Ajay Dhurve, in-charge of Hamidia’s kitchen and Dr. Deepak Maravi, superintendent, both did not pick up the phone. Later the cooks exposed the matter. He told that 10 quintals of flour had come from Apex Trading in the last week of April.

He was fine for four-five days, but after that, caterpillars started coming out of him. Oral information was given to the responsible officers in this regard, but they ignored it. Two days ago, Neha Saini, who worked in the kitchen, complained to the assistant manager Mahendra Soni, after which 6 bags of 25-25 kg were returned to the flour supplier.

163 patients were eating bread of this flour both times

At present, 163 patients admitted in various wards of Hamidia Hospital are being given full diet. While 274 patients are on light diet. In such a situation, rotis made from worm flour were being served to 163 patients every day at both the times. Hospital clerk Ghanshyam Patidar also confirmed this. When there was an uproar, on Monday evening, the hospital management, accepting it itself, issued a notice to the firm supplying flour and sought a reply.

Responsible for avoiding each other throughout the day

you talk to the media in charge
There is no such case. In this regard, you should talk to the hospital’s media in-charge Dr. Ajay Jain.– Mahendra Soni, Assistant Manager, Hamidia

the bullshit is baseless
