‘Bathing video of students…’, the university opened its mouth, the investigation was ordered by God

Chandigarh University hostel students’ bathing video has gone viral. The university campus became uproarious last night. However, the university clarified that this allegation is completely false. Chandigarh University Pro-Chancellor Dr. RS Bawa said, ‘There are rumors that 7 girls have committed suicide. He further said, ‘During the initial investigation of the university, no video of any student was found which is objectionable. Nothing was found except for a private video taken by a girl. The girl sent the video to her boyfriend. All rumors of other students shooting offensive videos are completely false and baseless.’

Meanwhile, after preliminary investigation of the incident, Mahali Superintendent of Police Vivek Soni claimed that they have not yet received any video of the girl taking a bath. Besides, he further claimed that no incident of suicide attempt of any female student has been reported in view of this incident. Journalist SP Vivek Soni said, ‘A student shot some video and spread it. An FIR has been registered in this regard and the accused has been arrested. No deaths related to this incident have been reported. According to medical records, no suicide attempts were reported.’ The police official further said, ‘So far in our investigation we have come to know that the accused has only one video of himself on the phone. He did not record anyone else’s video. Electronic devices and mobile phones have been taken into custody and will be sent for forensic examination.’

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has opened his mouth on this issue. He wrote in a tweet, ‘Sorry to hear about the incident in Chandigarh University. A high-level inquiry has been ordered. Action will be taken against those found guilty. I have always been in touch with the officials concerned. I request you all not to listen to rumours.’
