Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) has initiated the online application process for various Apprentice positions. Eligible candidates interested in applying can access the official BLW website at blw.indianrailways.gov.in. The application window is currently open, and candidates should note that the deadline for applications is November 25 with document uploads accepted until November 27.
Furthermore, the BLW recruitment drive is conducted to fill up 374 posts in the organization. Among the offered posts, there are 300 ITI posts and 74 non-ITI posts.
BLW Apprentice Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Non-ITI posts: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Candidate must have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of issue of notification.
For ITI: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, from the recognized Board and also must passed ITI in the relevant trades. It is important to note that the candidate must have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of issue of notification.
Age limit: To be eligible for the posts, the non-ITI candidates must be between 15 to 22 years of age, whereas for ITI candidates the age limit is between 15 to 24 years of age.

Step 2: Then, click on ‘Register’ on the homepage and complete the registration process
Step 3: Now, log in and fill out the application form as directed
Step 4: Once done, pay the prescribed application fee and hit submit
Step 5: Download a copy of the completed application form
Step 6: Take a hardcopy of the same for further records
BLW Apprentice Recruitment 2023: Application Fees
Candidates from the General/Unreserved categories will have to pay an application fee/processing fee of Rs 100 to apply for the posts at the time of registration. However, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Female candidates are exempted from payment of any application fees.
BLW Apprentice Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The candidate’s candidature will be considered based on the merit list in each unit, which will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in the matriculation examination (with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks). However, in the non-ITI selection, ITI-passed candidates will be selected, but they will not be given any weighted ITI score. They must have only the mark sheet or certificate of the notified trade.
