Boards have been installed in the temple premises, in which it is written that do not enter the temple premises with mobile phones.

Mobile phones are banned in Kedarnath temple. Now devotees will neither be able to take pictures nor make videos in the temple premises. This decision has been taken by the Badri-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC).

This step has been taken after a female blogger proposed to her boyfriend in front of the temple and made a video of it. After the video went viral, the temple administration had expressed its displeasure.

Not only this, the devotees have been asked to come to the temple wearing decent clothes. Along with this, instructions have been given not to set up tents or camps in the temple premises. Legal action will be taken against those who do not follow the orders.

Recently, orders were issued to stop the mobile phones of the devotees even before going to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, but now mobiles have been banned in the entire temple premises itself.

Mobile will be banned in Badrinath soon
BKTC President Ajendra Ajay said that this is a religious place, where people come with great faith. Devotees should respect him. He said that no complaint has come from Badrinath Dham so far, but such boards will be installed there too.
