Bail was not granted, in another case, YouTube’s Roddur Roy is in police custody again

A case has been filed against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in several police stations for her comments on social media. Roddur Roy, who has already been arrested in the Hair Street police case, is in jail custody. This time in a case of Patuli police station, the court ordered him in police custody. He has been remanded in police custody till next Sunday.

After the death of singer KK, Roddur Roy made vulgar remarks against Mamata Banerjee on social media, starting with Transport Minister Firhad Hakim. After that cases were filed against him in different police stations. Police arrested Roddur Roy on June 8 in a case filed with the Hair Street Police Station. In that case, the court had ordered two days police custody till June 9. Later, however, they were taken into custody. When the case came up in the Bankshal court on Monday, the judge of the Bankshal court ordered seven more days of jail custody in the case.

According to police sources, another case was lodged with the Patuli police station in May against Roddur Roy for insulting the Chief Minister. Roddur Roy was taken to Alipore court yesterday in that case. In the interest of investigation, the public prosecutor requested his police custody. Although Roddur Roy’s lawyer opposed him. He said that all the equipment of YouTuber has already been confiscated in that case. So let him be granted bail. However, the Alipore court judge finally agreed to the police’s plea and ordered him to be kept in police custody till next Sunday.
