Ayan Mukerji Reveals Why Isha Kept Taking Shiva’s Name, Alia, Ranbir Say They Have Brahmastra Feedback Group

While Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is doing well at the box office, plenty of videos and memes around the movie keep people delighted. In one such Instagram post which went viral, a mimicry artist poked fun at Alia Bhatt’s character in the film where she keeps taking Shiva’s (played by Ranbir Kapoor) name throughout the movie. In a recent interview, the Highway actress admitted that she didn’t find the video offensive but rather funny. The director and Ranbir Kapoor also spilled beans on why Isha repeatedly takes Shiva’s name in the film.

Talking to NDTV, the Sanju actor revealed that the Brahmastra team has a group chat called Brahmastra Comments where everyone provides feedback, memes, criticism, and self-deprecating humour. He said, all of them, like the process because such talks only take place when a movie becomes a part of popular culture.

In an interview with NDTV, Alia responded to the well-liked Instagram video about her dialogues. She said, “That’s one of my favourites. There is this one girl who imitates me, Chandni, she imitates me really well. She made an Alia Bramastra meme where she is talking about my voice and she is outstanding.” Ayan gave an explanation of the dialogues’ motivations and said, “People are making fun of it. I think when I talk, I keep taking people’s names a lot, this is my habit. So that stayed in the script and came in the film as well.”

During the conversation, the stars revealed that they would frequently question Ayan if they needed to keep repeating each other’s names. However, Ayan was extremely precise about the fact that when someone is in love, they should have pleasure in mentioning their name. And that makes sense, in his opinion, Ranbir added.

Additionally, Ranbir and Alia made it clear that they are not like this in real life and worry that they have messed up if someone calls them by their name.

Brahmastra Part 1, was first shown in theaters on September 9. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy play significant parts in the film. The movie is the first in a trilogy that Ayan intends to make.
