The Ghazipur district administration took major action on Mukhtar’s property in Fatehullahpur village. Property worth Rs 22 crore 23 lakh, registered in the name of wife Afshan and both brothers-in-law, Sarjeel Raza and Anwar Shah Jahan, was attached. This included FCI godown and 8 lands registered in the name of M/s Vikas Construction Company.

The land on which Mukhtar had built a godown in Mau belonged to the Dalits of Raini village. There was also a litigation going on. On November 13, the administration bulldozed it.
Mukhtar’s FCI godown and illegal occupation of it were demolished on 13 November 2020 in Raini village of Dakshintola area of Mau district. During investigation it was found that Mukhtar used to collect rent of Rs 1.80 crore annually from the godown. The cost of the godown was Rs 3.26 crore.

On June 9, 2021, property worth Rs 24 crore, registered in the name of both the sons of Mukhtar, was attached in Jahangirabad Dashai Pokhara area. In the year 2015, Mukhtar had got the land signed in the name of his mother Rabia Khatoon. Later this will was written in the name of sons Abbas Ansari and Umar Ansari.

22 December 2021: 17 shops of Mukhtar sealed

In the midst of the assembly elections in UP, once again the district administration took attachment action on Mukhtar’s Ghazal Hotel. The land behind this hotel, built in the Mahuabagh area of Ghazipur Sadar, was attached by playing a ruckus. After investigation, the value of this benami property was stated to be Rs 2.15 crore.
Weapons worth more than 25 lakhs, jewelery worth Rs 72 lakhs were also seized
In the affidavit given to the Election Commission in the 2017 assembly elections, Mukhtar Ansari had disclosed assets worth Rs 21 crore 88 lakh. In this, there was not a single four wheeler in Mukhtar’s name, while his wife Afshan has been given information about having assets worth about 20 lakh rupees and a Pajero car. Mukhtar’s family also has ornaments worth more than Rs 72 lakh on the election affidavit.
The affidavit also gave information about weapons worth more than Rs 25 lakh with the family. In this, information was given about a revolver worth 2.5 lakh rupees in the name of the wife and two rifles, two short guns and a pistol in the name of the rest of the family members.
