The three shooters accused in the killings of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Khaild Azim alias Ashraf were sent to four-day police custody by a court of Prayagraj chief judicial magistrate on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the station officer at the city’s Shahganj police station has also been suspended after the Special Investigation Team, constituted by Prayagraj Commissioner of Police Ramit Sharma, started its probe into the incident on Tuesday.
