Amidst ongoing I-T raids on premises linked to Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu, an old post of Sahu on X (formerly Twitter), has started doing rounds. Sahu’s post caught the public eye after BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared a screenshot of the same, while taking a dig at the Congress leader.

Shared back in August, 2022, Sahu wrote in post, “Even after demonetization, I feel very sad to see so much black money and corruption in the country. I don’t understand from where people are accumulating so much of black money. If anyone can remove corruption from this country, it is only the Congress.”

The raids by the Income Tax department against an an Odisha-based distillery company reached its sixth day on Monday. Official sources called it the “highest-ever” such haul in a single action conducted by any probe agency. As of now, a total cash amount of Rs 351 crore has been seized after five days of counting.
Additional machines, staff and security personnel were reportedly deployed to accelerate the counting of the seized currency notes which is still underway.
I-T sleuths on Friday seized 156 cash-loaded bags and took them to the SBI main branch at Bolangir for counting. The raids were conducted in Sambalpur, Rourkela, Bolangir, Sundargarh and Bhubaneswar.
